I'm known to be a very picky person when it comes to sound and I've spent a good 20 years looking for the cymbals that would inspire me and serve my music best. To achieve that I knew I would need a company open for creative cooperation to suit my custom needs. In T-Cymbals and Arbak I found exactly that. There's not many companies out there anymore who make traditional handcrafted cymbals and even fewer who would work with "less famous" drummers to meet their own specific needs. And maaan the difference between a mass produced machine made cymbal and a handcrafted one actually based on Turkish traditions dating back to hundreds and hundreds of years!!! They are the richest, the most musical and they breathe and last way longer! All the big names out there have a tendency to make thicker, louder and more rigid cymbals, especially in metal and it just makes the cymbal break and drives sound technicians crazy. Anyone in their right mind should choose more traditional cymbals if they want to sound good live or in the studio and I feel so blessed to finally be able to start my journey with T-Cymbals on finding my magnum opus!
